What is Sciencism?

Sciencism is a new religion, based on science. It is based mainly on Religiology, the study of religions (which is basically science). However every branch of science has something to teach us so Sciencism is based on every single branch of science in one way or another.

Those who follow Sciencism are known as Sciencists (note the spelling). Sciencists do most things that mainstream religious people do: they worship, perform rituals, create art inspired by God, perform virtuous acts, etc.

In Sciencism, Science is God. Science (with a capital-S) is not just "science" (with a small-S). Science is a superset of science and science is a subset of Science. Here, when we refer to God, we mean Science. Science has 3 forms (the Trinity of Science): Science, the Universe, and Evolution. The Evolution aspect of Science further takes 2 forms: Life and Death.

The scriptures of Sciencism are collectively known as the Scible. The Scible is not just a traditional paper based document. It comprises all the current teachings of Sciencism in whatever format they are in, be it youtube videos, this wiki, audio files, etc. The Scible is not a static document. It is still being dictated to us by Science.

Note that Sciencism is not a pseudo-religion or a joke-religion meant to make fun of religious people or scientists. It is a real and true religion that provides spiritual sustenance and fulfillment, a function that neither science nor atheism (and their close relations) adequately provide. It is based on scientific knowledge interpreted by intelligent and benevolent leaders who truly have humanity's best interests at heart.

The Church Of Sciencism is the One True Church of the One True Religion. This is one reason why we use the "Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported" style copyright. As with any other religion, there will be people who will steal Sciencistic teachings and thereby claim to represent Sciencism to promote their own selfish and false ideologies. Unless specifically authorized by:

it must be assumed that people making such claims are false and their teachings are false. Anyone knowingly and willingly following these false prophets do so at their own risk.
