Science doesn't mind whether you believe that he is God or not. Science is:
Nothing you say or believe or do can help or hinder Science. But everything you say or believe or do WILL help or hinder YOU.
Though this might sound like a fantastic statement, atheism is indeed compatible with Sciencism. Here I will explain why.
Let us take a religion for example Christianity. Christians are Christian for a wide variety of combinations of reasons (this isn't an exhaustive list):
A person can call himself Christian, for the sole reason that he likes to sing in church and because of the church community. He might not feel spiritual, and not care much about tradition, culture, history, etc. Others might have a different combination of the above. Christians differ widely in the degree to which they believe in God.
In the same way, it is possible for an atheist to not acknowledge Science as God, but still reap the benefits, such as community, fellowship, singing, rituals, etc. Science is too powerful to mind. You may reap some benefits if you do acknowledge Science as God, but it is not necessary for you to do so. Whatever choice you make only affects you, not Science.
