What's the most important thing in life?

Just today, I logged into Facebook, and in my newsfeed was an item that caught my interest. I read what others had said, I said something, others replied, etc. Eventually it looked something like this:

Now there are several interesting things about this facebook conversation. We will look at each in more detail.

  1. The modern concept of "settling"
  2. Misandry arising out of feminism
  3. The wisdom of elders, or, the value of age and experience
  4. How people's thinking change as they age
  5. A scene in "Hitch" that really stood out in my mind. Where during a speed dating session, a woman says "This is really kind of distracting. And I haven't gotten laid in a year!"
  6. Being single forever
  7. Not having kids, or, being "childfree"
  8. How media has distorted peoples perceptions of what is normal
  9. "Enjoying life"
  10. Society's pressure to get married. Oh the irony!
  11. Women having kids when they're much older, and the impact on children

Now, no doubt some of us know people such as this "Becca Elizabeth Walshe". I think I first met people like that in a facebook group called "Abortion is a woman's choice".

"It is quite clear from the study that genetic disorders occur very frequently if grouped together, although each individual disorder is relatively rare." (1)

Hitch: "You wanna see me be spontaneous?"
Sara: "Sure, yoo wann a Bnadryl?"
Speed Dating Lady (???): "Hey, you know what? This is kind of distracting and I haven't gotten laid in a year! (Dead silence)."
